Learn to Speed Skate Program
Registration closes on August 31st, 2026. After this date, reach out to info@sudburysprinters.com to determine if there is still capacity to accept skaters to the program.
Skate fittings for the Learn to Speed Skate program and the Regular Season will be the last week of August/first week of September:

in the Hall of Fame room at Countryside arena (hall to the right of the canteen). If you have registered, simply show up for your skate fitting! We will have equipment available to borrow for the Learn to Speed Skate program, and for sale for the regular season. See everyone soon!
The 2026-2027 Learn to Speed Skate program will be held in September at the Gerry McCrory Countryside Arena, on Ice Pad 1:

Regular Season
Registration is first-come first-serve basis until capacity is reached. Skaters in the Learn to Speed Skate program can register after this program, if they would like to continue with the Regular Season.
After August 31st, 2026, reach out to info@sudburysprinters.com to determine if there is still capacity to accept skaters to the program.
Practices are held at the Gerry McCrory Countryside Arena, on Ice Pad 1.
Our season runs from mid-September to mid-March. Practices in 2026-2027 will be on Tuesday or Wednesday (To be determined) and Saturday as follows:

| First Strides Levels 3-4 | Skaters learn the fundamentals of speed skating. | 6-7 PM (Tuesdays only) |
| Fast Strides Levels 5-8 | Skaters focus on improving speed skating technique and speed. | 6-7 PM |
| Fast Strides Levels 9-10 Train to Compete | Skaters should meet a time standard for 400m. Skaters focus on racing strategies. | 5-7 PM |
Skaters may change groups during the year if they progress to the next level.
